I've lived in North Carolina since 2001, and so I see North Carolina license plates in use every day, I have them registered to my own vehicles, and I regularly end up with them in my trade box. All of this enables me to provide information about and photos of N.C. plates.

However, I don't actually collect North Carolina license plates, except in the few cases where I need one to complete a set. Therefore, unlike the rest of my site, hardly any of the photos shown in this section are from my personal collection. I haven't meticulously identified the source of every plate that's not from my collection on the North Carolina pages, but I did photograph every plate shown unless it's credited otherwise.
